Our guide John! We could not have imagined a better guide. He made every effort to take us to the best places and to observe the animals as close as possible. He gave us so much interesting information - whether about animals, plants or the country, he knew the answer to everything!

Overall I really did have a 5 star experience in my 8 day budget safari. The Serengeti is amazing and hands down my favorite park in Africa. ADVENTURE KASKAZINI exceeded my expectations and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

On this way we saw little villages and a little bit of the local life. We also tasted some red bananas which Melvin recommended- taste was delicious. First night was calm and chilled, the day after we were going to drive along crater and visit a Massai village. They were very welcoming us und showed us the way they live and some dances. We also visited their kindergarten with the lovely little ones and they showed us how they lern math and their language. After that we headed to Serengeti.
I have no words for the amazing time we had there. A short time after we arrived there Melvin stayed in contact with other Guides and brought us to the first highlight of the trip. We saw a cheetah with 3 baby’s eating a gazelle. This ist very rare to see. We can’t believe how lucky we were. After that he shows us many lions and some with baby’s too, which was a highlight for us as well. He showed us a lot of elefants and we were very close to them - just amazing! We were very blessed on our trip to see the big five and more than one from every species. He teached us a lot about the different animals what was very interesting, we loved it. Melvin was very kind, helpfully and pleasant we were enjoying the trip with him very much. When we were in Ngorongoro crater we had the luck to see hunting lions which was maybe the biggest highlight for us. Because it is very very rare. Unfortunately it was very late so we can’t watch the complete progress but we are very happy because Melvin let watch us till the very last second, so that we had enough time to drive back but also have every second of this experience. He has does this every day and we were very appreciated that, because of that we had the full experience of our safari. We would recommend to do the trip with him. :)

No need to worry about fuel during safari the car it self has 2 tank with 160 liter tank, which makes the driving range around 1,280 kilometers. It came fully equipped for a 11 day's safari trip with 2 people gears:
We didn't have any issue on our 11 days in northern Tanzania. We had some troubles with our gas stove " burner" and they change it quickly.

Before the trip, Stey's has been super quick to answer any of our questions, and always ready to help with anything.
The car it self was perfect although we got a breakdown on day 17 out of 19 day's and Stey's was managed to change Safari Jeep while it's was something can be fixed easily.

The lady Stey's is a very kindly and trusted, we paid all 100% the payment three month before our trip and nothing surprised after arrival. She came along with a guide to pick up at Kilimanjaro Airport (J.R.O) and we travelled with her at the first day at Arusha national park and make our trip Started enjoyable,comfortable and Trustworthy.
At the evening we drop her in Arusha then we continued with our professional guide for a week,Tarangire national, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Manyara we so everything which was even above our expectations and my parents and I was absolutely satisfied to the Top notched.

This Trip was a one in a life-time experience. We had the opportunity to see the real Africa wildlife; lions and to experience African's culture (the language, the food, the mindset, the humour etc). Locals are very creative, resourceful and hard-working
Our driver Moodson is very friendly and patient. He’s knowledgeable about plants and animals. He has shown a lot respect for the wild life.
The car is well equipped that provides good safari confortabilty and cold drinks as well.
We had the posssibility to live a beautifull experience thank to them.

We mostly slept into public campsites inside the safari game parks and the car rooftop tent was very comfortable and of excellent manufacturing.

Without her help we probably could not make this journey. From the very first point of our planning to at the very end of our journey we always got the touch of her friendly helping hand. In every step we got her experienced advice and guidance. Everything was incredibly well organised. She is absolutely amazing personally and professionally. In fact, we’d been provided some extra services by her which we did not even think of and that saved us quite good amount of money.

There must also one person to be named who contributed enormously to made our safari unforgettable and it was our guide and driver - John. He has got vast array of knowledge about the animals and the nature. He is timely, punctual and disciplined to his profession. Because of his friendly and helpful attitude we apparently could see more than we expected. The whole of Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti park, Mt. Kilimanjaro area and Arusha National Park areas are like under his claws. He took us straightway to the points where we could see more than usual. This is the reason why we could see the clear view of the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. He is a driver of highest skill and talent. In his safe hand we never felt any kind of discomfort or danger.

Based on the whole service we got there in Arusha region from Adventure Kaskazini it would not be an exaggeration at all to mention that Adventure Kaskazini is one of the best if not the best safari organisation in that region. We highly recommend their service.

  My family and I have just returned from a self drive tour through the northern circuit (Tarangire / Lake Manyara / Serengeti) and had rented a Landcruiser with roof tents... read more and camping gear from Adventure Kaskazini. Unlike Botsuana self drive tours are rather unusual in Tanzania. In fact the vast majority of people we met had adriver guide. Looking back I found Tanzania to be doable on our own with no major problems. All people we have met in the country have been extraordinarily friendly and supportive. However, especially when doing a self drive, local support plays a very important role in travelling in Tanzania. Arranging campsites and park entries with Tanapa, booking lodges and handling unexpected issues (prepaid bookings not displayed in booking systems) with burocracy can turn out to be very complicated. Kaskazini has very much helped us to overcome all these hurdles. Stey‘s, owner of Kaskazini, has been very responsive and committed and handled all issues often within a few minutes. Booking of lodges has been less expensive than compared to the rates to be paid when doing this from Europe. The car was onot new, but well maintained and managed the tough conditions without major problems. In essence it has been a great trip and Kaskazini has played an important role in this!

Our guide Malvin had great knwoledge of all parks so we had great advanture together. Our son was very interested in birds and Malvin had huge knowledge of it. Great (and usually quick)... read more support with a variety of questions that not even all related to reserving a car (also to e.g. money- and visa-related ones). We originally opted for self-driving but were convinced to make use of a driver with hardly any surcharge. On arrival it turned out Kaskazini thought we'd still be driving ourselves but as soon we we reminded them, the guide was arranged for the day of departure.

Why not score 10/10: (a) our plan was to sleep on Seregeti's Lobo public campsite in order to be as close as possible (public camping) to the possible migration. Even though it might be our own task to figure out the best route, we asked twice for advice (1 x per email when still at home & 1 x when staff the evening before departure (when all Serengeti fees are to be paid). Nothing was mentioned about Lobo not being a good place to sleep if there's a desire to see the migration. While on route our guide suggested to sleep outside the park in order to be closer to the migrations, which of course we did as he knows best. This meant however that 2 x camping fee Serengeti was paid for nothing. (b) We were told to bring usd cash for car rental and fuel only. On arrival it turned out (perhaps due to the assumption of us self-driving) that Tarangire and Serengeti fees were to be paid cash as well. The additional usd withdrawl meant a double unnecessary withdrawl of more than 50 usd.

Small note on the side: check if you are being picked up from the airport on arrival (great service but we did not know and took a taxi) + double check the office's address if you go there by yourself as the one on Google is not correct.

Car (10/10)
We drove some really bumpy roads and it never malfunctioned. Push-start was needed each morning (battery needed replacement) but guide always arranged some locals to help. Enough space, incl. charging possibilities and a nice cold fridge. Rooftop tent was quite comfortable even though I'm 204cm.

Best choice ever to opt for a driver guide. Even with him we got stuck once, imagine what happened if we drove ourselves. Perhaps own driving is more adventurous but due to Mood we saw out of the ordinary wildlife action (radio in the car through which animal sightings are communicated in Swahili). He was extremely helpful, a superb driver/car mechanic, very kind, and he is the main reason we can look back at a once in a lifetime adventure. See you again Mood!

All in all we totallyrecommend Kaskazini.
