Guide/driver: Melvin was amazing. He became part of our family of four. We sang songs in the car, had dinner with him, played games at the hotel. He was alot of fun. Oh yeah - he also knew every animal on the safari and listed facts about all of them.

Car: Car was a bit dated and worked great. It was a landcruiser and we nicknamed "black rhino". It was a work horse. Went up to Mt. Kili and handled all the safaris. Melvin was a great driver and softened the African massage (roads are horrible). The car windows actually came off so it made the safari viewing much more enjoyable compared to other cars.

Others: Behind the scenes, Stey's booked all the permits and arrangements and made the process seamless.

Highly recommend them! Will use them again and again.

  Incredible experience with Melvin as Guide - Went on a 4-day safari that was completely planned by Adventure Kaskazini. It was my friend and I, both sleeping in the tent on top of the car - our... Read More guide was Melvin. I can genuinely say these four days were some of the best of my life. Tarangire, Ngorongoro and especially Serengeti Park were all incredibly beautiful and Melvin knew everything, absolutely everything about all of them and about every animal living there. Thanks to him we saw a cheetah, three leopards (including one leopard cub!), five different lion prides (!) and pretty much every other animal you can see. Melvin always knew where to go, was incredibly kind and super patient.
But what's genuinely crazy is what he can spot in nature. While my friend and I just looked around, searching hopelessly, Melvin would sometimes just stop the car and ask "You see it?", followed by showing us the animal.
An example: About 8 safari-cars are standing around a bunch of vultures who are scattered around the remains of a wildebeast. While everyone (all tourists and guides) are looking at the vultures, Melvin looks around and asks us if we see anything else in the other direction. We look for a while, don't see anything, until he shows us a lion (presumably the lion that hunted the wildebeast that the vultures are scattered around) about 20m away from all the cars. Not a single person noticed the lion, noone except for us was looking at it. I couldn't wrap my head around how he spotted it so quickly while no other guide spotted it at all - and this is only one example of many, many situations we encountered in our four days.
I can't suggest enough that you do your safari with Adventure Kaskazini, especially with Melvin as your guide. I guarantee you will not regret it - you will have the best guide out there.

The vehicle was in excellent condition and provided a comfortable ride throughout the journey.

We visited several stunning destinations including Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Lake Natron, and everything went perfectly. The wildlife experiences were incredible, and the landscape was breathtaking at every stop.
